Electric Animals

Most people know about the electric eel which can shock  with a shocking 600 volts of electricity, and can create a sort of force field around it shocking anything that touches it. A couple of animals that people don't know about are the the electric catfish and the electric ray. The electric catfish can shock at up to 350 volts and unlike the usual catfish, on its fins it doesn't have spines. With 69 different species of electric rays, electric rays can shock anywhere from 8-220 volts depending on the species.

If I were you I would try not to have a encounter in the wild with these animals, but in aquariums these are very interesting animals to view in a perfectly safe environment.

Do you have any knowledge about mildly electric fish such as the black ghost knife-fish?
